Rafal Dadello, blessed pets at the parish’s first pet blessings ceremony last weekend. People from the community joined members of our congregation in front of the church on 618 E. Gansevoort St. for the blessing ceremony. This custom is conducted in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi because of his love for all creatures. St. Francis is commemorated on October 4th in the Church calendar.
